ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday felicitated the Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan for his party’s victory in the parliamentary elections.
According to the details issued by the PTI’s Central Media Department, the Indian prime minister made a telephone call to the Chairman PTI Imran Khan and congratulated him for his victory in the elections.
“India desires progressive relations with Pakistan,” Narendra Modi said.
Narendra Modi said that both Countries must adopt a joint strategy to develop and strengthen better ties.
Imran Khan thanked the Indian prime minister for the felicitations and warm wishes.
The Chairman PTI stressed upon the need to take measures from both Pakistan and India to invest in poverty reduction and pull millions out of poverty.
Stressing on the importance of dialogue, the Chairman PTI stated that issues must be resolved through table talks.
“Wars can breed tragedies instead of facilitating resolution of conflicts”, Imran Khan remarked.
