ISLAMABAD/LAHORE, Pakistan: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday wrote a letter to the Interior Ministry seeking placement of names of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar on the Exit Control List (ECL).
In the letter, the NAB requested the Interior Ministry for putting the names of three accused on the ECL as they are facing charges in the Azizia Mills reference, Flagship reference and Avenfield properties reference.
Meanwhile, the NAB also filed two supplementary references against Nawaz Sharif, Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz in the Accountability Court.
Earlier, the Chairman NAB Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal gave the approval to file supplementary references in the Al-Azizia and Flagship investments.
Talking to media persons in Lahore, the Spokesperson Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Fawad Chaudhry said that the NAB’s move to put members of Sharif family on the ECL deserves appreciation.
Fawad Chaudhry said that the Supreme Court of Pakistan gave Sharif family enough time to submit money trail. He said that Nawaz Sharif was ousted over corruption charges, adding the both the former prime minister and his daughter Maryam Nawaz are liars.
The Spokesperson PTI said that Pakistan’s biggest misery is corruption. He said that Nawaz Sharif says that Pakistan’s law not applicable on his children.
