ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday criticized the conduct of National Accountability Bureau (NAB), saying it had become an institution to harass their leaders.

Talking to media men outside the Accountability Court in Islamabad wherein hearing into Avenfield properties reference against Sharif family was scheduled, Nawaz Sharif said they wanted to see Pakistan as a progressive and stable Country.

Nawaz Sharif said he liked the remarks of the Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar which he made yesterday that there was no space for the delay in general elections.

The former prime minister further said they themselves had said to the Accountability Court judge to live telecast the proceeding of NAB references, and they stood by their words.

In addition, he said whatever had happened in Balochistan, the Chief Justice should have taken notice of that but he didn’t.

Nawaz Sharif Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers from Lahore’s NA-120 Constituency were kidnapped. He told that he had said to Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to hold inquiry about the kidnapping of the workers.

Meanwhile, the Accountability Court adjourned the hearing of Avenfield properties reference against Sharif family till April 9.

The Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir didn’t came to the Court today as he was ill.
