Television channels circles are of the view heavy rain in Islamabad made technical issues for transmission and disruption was due to technical reasons.

The Press Conference was attended by Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Usama Qadri, Shahzain Bugti, Mohsin Dawar, Mohammad Aslam Bhootani, Tariq Bashir Cheema and other leaders of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).

As soon as the Press Conference kicked off with the remarks by Maryam Nawaz, it got disrupted and state-run PTV News was using private channels feed including Samaa TV, 24 Channel, and Channel 92. Whenever Maryum Nawaz talked about something critical, the anchors in the newsrooms including on state-run television started commentary and her voice was muted and replaced with anchor’s commentary. It looked like her critical comments about the judiciary got censored.

Later, it returned to TV Channels, and a delayed Press Conference was transmitted when the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman was talking.
