ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Maldives President Abdulla Yameen held a telephonic conversation with the Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Monday, and congratulated him on his victory in recently general elections.
In a press release, the PTI Central Media Department said that Maldives president also expressed good wishes and prayers to the Chairman PTI.
The PTI Central Media Department said that Imran Khan paid gratitude to the Maldives president.
The Maldives president was the second Head of State after the Afghan President Ashraf Ghani who talked to Imran Khan on phone and felicitated him on his victory in parliamentary elections 2018.
While having talks in Monday, Imran Khan and the Afghan president agreed to overcome the past and to lay a new foundation for a prosperous political, social and economic future of both Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Besides, Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf Saeed Al-Maliki also met Imran Khan at Banigala in Islamabad last Friday, and greeted him after his victory in elections.
