SUKKUR, Pakistan: The Opposition Leader in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah on Saturday urged the Muslim World to unite to solve the Palestinian issue, saying all Muslims were responsible for the protection of Jerusalem.

Talking to media in Sukkur, Khursheed Shah requested the International Super Powers to come forward and make efforts to bring peace.

The Opposition Leader said peace would be established until all religions would be given respect.

Khursheed Shah said in 1974, the Country’s former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto gathered all Muslim World at one platform. He said Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto opposed designs of Israel by uniting all Muslim World.

Meanwhile, worldwide protests including in Pakistan continue against the US President Donald Trump’s announcement of recognizing the Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel, and shifting the United States Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

While denouncing Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israeli Capital, Pakistan has already termed it a violation of prevalent International laws while the Arab League will hold an emergency meeting in Cairo today to discuss the US move.

Meanwhile, the UN Security Council has also condemned US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel, and said that it will be unhelpful in terms of prospects for peace in Middle East.

Two Palestinians have also been killed while over 250 have been injured after clashes broke out between them and Israeli forces following Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the Israeli Capital. The Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas has also threatened to launch fresh intifada.
