PESHAWAR, Pakistan: Justice (retd) Dost Muhammad Khan took oath as the Caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday.
The Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zafar Iqbal Jhagra administered the oath to Dost Muhammad Khan during an impressive ceremony held at the Governor House in Peshawar.
The former Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, Advocate General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and senior lawyers besides officials attended the oath taking ceremony.
Justice (retd) Dost Muhammad will serve as the interim Chief Minister till the new government takes charge following the general election scheduled to be held on July 25.
Talking to media men, Dost Muhammad said he would try to complete the mission in accordance to the constitution and fulfill trust reposed in him by the Election Commission of Pakistan.
Dost Muhammad said holding of free, fair and transparent election on time was his top most priority. He vowed to provide maximum relief to the province’s people during the short tenure.
