PoliticsImran warns govt against any misadventure on Panama issue

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Thursday warned the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML) government against resorting to any misadventure if Supreme Court’s verdict didn’t arrive in Sharif family’s favour in Panama Papers Case.

“The whole nation stands with the Supreme Court. If they try anything funny, just watch how the nation steps out to save the Supreme Court and stand with them,” Imran Khan said while talking to media representatives in Islamabad.

Imran Khan said that the PML-N government is trying to discredit and threaten the Joint Investigation Team (JIT), saying that it is a conspiracy against them.

“So who is doing this conspiracy?” Imran asked and that till date Sharif family has not still shown their documents which they claim to have.

The Chairman PTI said that after July 10, public will be ready to come out on his just one call.

Imran said that we didn’t bring overgrown children of Sharif family to the Courts; rather they brought their own kids to the Courts.

“We just want to see who the real owners of these properties (London flats) are and how the money left the country,” he said. “Instead of answering this; they are attacking the institutions.”

Imran Khan alleged that in order to save one family’s corruption, they are destroying the nation, buying channels and journalists; and then they say that they are saving democracy.

In reply to a question, Imran Khan said that the PML-N government awarded Rs 200 billion worth project at Port Qasim to Qatari Prince without bidding and even he often visits Pakistan for hunting protected houbara bustard but he is not ready to come to Pakistan for recording his Statement in Panama Case.

“He (Qatari Prince) cannot come to give these explanations or send over history of the banking transactions (to JIT in Pakistan)? They should show some proof of transactions at least,” Imran Khan said.
