ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan’s prospective Prime Minister and the Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has felicitated Recep Tayyip Erdogan who won a new five-year term as the Turkish president after securing outright victory in the presidential election.

“Congratulations to President Erdogan on his electoral victory. Wishing his new term brings stability and prosperity for the people of Turkey,” Imran Khan said in a twitter message on Monday.

Earlier the President Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shahbaz Sharif – who is also a strong Candidate to become the Country’s next prime minister – also congratulated the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım and the Justice and Development Party.

“I extend my heart-felt congratulations to President @RT_Erdogan , PM Binali Yildirim as well as to Justice and Development Party. Turkey under President Erdogan has undergone a phenomenal transformation. Its inclusion in G20 club is a sign of its expanding economic prowess,” Shahbaz Sharif said.

“The Turkey has spoken today. Turkish people’s historic vote in favor of President @RT_Erdogan is a vote for his strong and committed leadership, a proven track record of excellent public service & stability. His agenda of social justice represents the aspirations of the Turkish people,” the president PML-N said.

With 97.7 percent of ballots counted, Tayyip Erdogan received more than half the votes required to secure an outright victory in the presidential vote held on June 24, 2018 (Sunday).
