PoliticsImran says he wants qualified people to join politics

KARACHI, Pakistan: The Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Monday said that since 21 years he had been inviting people to come into politics who were qualified and who didn’t need politics as a career.

“I have been trying since 21 years; but no one is willing to come forward, they say we will support you from behind the scenes,” Imran said while speaking at All Pakistan Memon Federation Karachi.

“And then when we take traditional politicians in, they start hammering us,” he added.

Imran Khan said that this was the first time that a party (PTI) had come up without any family connections, and not at the barrel of a gun. He said that they were made to be a just and fair society, one with Sadiq and Amin leaders who never felt the need to lie.

“We have an opportunity to change the direction of this nation; in one direction is the corrupt who keeps siphoning funds out of the country and the other one is where there is rule of law,” Imran said.

“One is a path to destruction and one to prosperity.”

The Chairman PTI said that the difference between successful societies and those that failed was justice, fairness and public service. However, he added that unfortunately so many people didn’t rise against extortion, thievery, and corruption.

Imran Khan invited the Memon Community to join them in becoming a part of changing the course of Pakistan’s future.
