ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday said the people had rejected the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in 2013 elections, and similar results would be seen in 2018 general elections.
Talking to media persons outside the Accountability Court in Islamabad, Nawaz Sharif said Imran khan had been defaming politics of Pakistan.
Nawaz Sharif said everybody knew the meaning of orders given from the ‘above’. He said when he talked about the ‘above’, he didn’t refer it to Bani Gala.
“Ladla (Imran Khan) is in habit of getting dictation from above,” he said.
The former prime minister said the people of Lahore had rejected Imran khan for the third time yesterday. He said the youth had become disappointed from Imran Khan.
Nawaz Sharif said Imran Khan should have also told the public as who had been falling off the wickets. He said those people claimed to strive for bringing change who stamped over arrow – Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) electoral symbol – in the Senate elections.
Meanwhile, the Accountability Court judge Muhammad Bashir resumed hearing of NAB reference. Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar were also present in the Court.
