PoliticsImran Khan promoting politics of inheritance: PTI foundering member

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Founding member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Akbar S Babar Wednesday said that PTI Chief Imran Khan’s tall claim of promoting neat and clean politics has already been proved false, adding that Imran was promoting politics of inheritance.

Talking to media outside Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in Islamabad, he lauded today’s decision of the ECP, and added that Imran Khan was a proclaimed offender.

He said that Imran Khan stuck himself as party Chairman for the last 20 year by hook and crook by conducting doubtful and unfair intra-party elections. Imran also appointed his favorites on key party posts.

Akbar S Babar said that PTI chief had disbanded Ehtasaab Commission in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa instead of making the province corruption free.

Talking to the state-run news agency, Akbar S Babar’s counsel Ahmad Hassan said that the ECP has dismissed the PTI’s application of stay in foreign funding case and ordered to submit all documents of foreign funding in next hearing on September 7.

He said that the ECP has issued order on merit as PTI was intentionally delaying the matter by presenting application on every date of reference.

He said that now PTI has to declare its sources of prohibited funding from abroad. He added PTI has to prove that all foreign funding was received through fair way and means

He added in case of confirmation of collecting funds from prohibited means, there will investigation from PTI’s responsible finance committee members while the confiscation of amount is also likely if they are found involved in prohibited funding.
