ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister in-waiting and the Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Saturday paid tributes to the sacrifices rendered by the police personnel for peace and security in the Country.

In his message on Police Martyrs Day (Yaume-e-Shuhda-e-Police), Imran Khan said that courage and valiance are the hallmark of our security personnel.

The PTI Chairman said that police especially of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province have rendered immense sacrifices in the war on terror.

Imran Khan said that his party is determined to bring reforms in police department on the pattern of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Imran Khan said that it is important to equip police with right kind of training to meet the challenges.

Meanwhile, Police Martyrs Day was observed at the Police Lines in Islamabad today to pay tribute to the officials of the Islamabad Police who had sacrificed their lives in their fights against terrorism and anti-state elements.

The event was attended by Inspector General (IG) Islamabad Police Jan Muhammad and other senior officers of the Islamabad Police.

The inspector general laid wreath at memorial of the martyrs and offered Fateha.

The event was also attended by the families of the martyrs. The IG Police said Islamabad Police would never forget the sacrifices of its personnel.

He informed the bereaved families that Islamabad Police would soon announce a special package for them.
