PoliticsImran Khan enraged over PPP vandalism in Karachi

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Tuesday strongly condemned the attack on his party workers by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) activists in Karachi, and also asked the Sindh government to take action against responsibles.

Both PTI and PPP plan to hold a public gathering at Hakeem Saeed Ground in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Karachi on May 12; however allocation of same venue on same date has caused a brawl between the two major parties.

The activists of both the political parties engaged in aerial firing and pelted stones on each other on Monday night. The enraged PPP activists also uprooted a PTI’s Camp while a couple of parked vehicles and motorcycles were also set on fire.

“Strongly condemn the attack on PTI workers by PPP at our jalsagah camp in Karachi yesterday,” Imran Khan wrote on his twitter account today.

The Chairman PTI said that the Sindh government must take action against those who used violence against our workers.

“Strong arm tactics by PPP reflects their fear of PTI’s rising popularity in Sindh,” he added.
