ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has formally approved the amendments to the Party’s Constitution and new organizational structure.

After the final approval of the PTI Chairman Imran Khan, the Party’s Chief Organiser Saifullah Khan Nyazee on Monday (October 21, 2019) notified the provisional regional structure of the Party as hereunder;

Punjab:

‘Northern Punjab Region’ shall consist of the Divisions of Rawalpindi, Sargodha and Faisalabad.

‘Central Punjab Region’ shall consist of the Divisions of Lahore, Gujranwala and Sahiwal.

‘Southern Punjab Region’ shall consist of the Divisions of Multan, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan.

Sindh:

Further consultations required for Sindh Regions.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa:

‘Malakand Region’ shall consist of the Division of Malakand.

‘Hazara Region’ shall consist of the Division of Hazara.

‘Peshawar Region’ shall consist of the Divisions of Kohat, Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan.

Balochistan:

‘North-East Balochistan Region’ shall consist of the Divisions of Zhob and Sibbi.

‘South-East Balochistan Region’ shall consist of the Divisions of Nasirabad and Kalat.

‘North-West Balochistan Region’ shall consist of the Division of Quetta.

‘South-West Balochistan Region’ shall consist of the Divisions of Makran and Rakhsan.

AJK:

‘Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Region’ shall consist of the Divisions of AJK.

Gilgit Baltistan:

‘Gilgit Baltistan (GB) Region’ shall consist of the Divisions of GB.

Islamabad:

‘Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Region’ shall consist of the three Districts (MNA Seats) of ICT.

Saifullah Khan Nyazee said that as the territorial boundaries for the existing organizations for South Punjab, ICT, GB and AJK remain unchanged, the existing organisations of these areas shall continue as such but shall assume the title and functions of the Regional Organization as defined in the proposed amendment draft.

The PTI Chief Organizer directed the organizations to appoint District Governing Bodies as per the procedure provide in the Constitution.

Saifullah Nyazee also directed the Secretary OIC to proceed with the organizational activities as per OIC by-laws duly approved by the CEC and appoint Deputy Secretaries for the OIC regions.

Saifullah Nyazee said that the Party’s Constitution would be amended as per the Proposed Amendments, duly approved by the CEC along with all Provisional Governing Bodies, as per clause XVI of the Party’s Constitution as soon as National Council is completed.
