- Says petrified PDM making all attempts to keep me out of politics
LAHORE, Pakistan: The former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan reiterated his demand that the cipher should be probed thoroughly instead of being invested through hand-picked FIA officials so as to bring the real culprits who played their rules in toppling the well performing the PTI government and imposition of the corrupt and crooks who had been looting the Country for the last 30 years.
Addressing the nation on Thursday night, the PTI chairman said that he thought that this government had succeeded in suppressing the cipher because it was something that clearly confirmed that the people who were ruling presently and the facilitators behind them conspired to bring down the government.
Imran Khan said that the PDM ruling clique and their facilitators were involved in the conspiracy to oust PTI government; hence they were so petrified that were making all-out efforts to keep him out of political arena but ironically this current assortment of incompetent crooks have always shot themselves in the foot.
The PTI Chairman said that they were so disparate and tried not a miss an opportunity for the last 14 months to get him disqualified and put him in jail, fearing of electoral defeat.
Imran Khan stated that Azam Khan whom he knew was an honest, upright and capable person and he cannot say such things, adding that he read as his (Azam) statements but he could not believe them until he heard from him directly because the statement had nothing to do with reality.
The former prime minister stated that it was yet to be ascertained as in what circumstances the statement would have been recorded because two parties were forcibly formed recently, as people were being taken and were forced either to join one or another party; hence he could believe that Azam could say so.
Imran recalled that PTI’s people were pressured to quit the party, adding our people, our women are in jails, they are being pressured to make them approvers against him or appear on TV to announce quitting PTI.
The former premier said that on March 6, 2022, Pakistani Ambassador Asad Majeed and US Under Secretary of State Donald Lu had an official meeting in Washington.
After this meeting, he said that a cipher was sent by the ambassador to Pakistan one copy each to PM house, COAS and foreign office, wherein two important things were written.
The PTI Chairman recalled that it was mentioned in it that Imran Khan should be ousted from the Premiership through a no-confidence motion, adding that another important thing was mentioned that Russia’s visit decision was solely taken by Imran Khan himself despite the fact that Asad Majeed told the US that it was a unanimous decision of all stakeholders.
“I salute Asad Majeed the way he talked. After that he told me that a demarche should be issued because Donald Lu used a very wrong and undemocratic language.
However, he stated that when that cipher reached Pakistan, he wondered how the US official had the courage to say all these things.
Imran Khan said that it was surprising that an envoy who was answerable to me could be directed to oust me from the office but he added that who could remove me in Pakistan, only one man General Bajwa.
The PTI Chairman said that he was being told that the decision to oust his government was made, as agencies people used to come and told him that Shahbaz Sharif was having secret meetings, adding that meetings were being held at the house of General Bajwa’s father-in-law, someone was being sent to London. When I used to ask General Bajwa, he used to say that it cannot be done and I used to agree.
However, he stated that when Cipher surfaced, he understood that without General Bajwa, this cannot happen because he wielded all the powers in Pakistan.
Imran Khan said that the next day, the motion of no confidence was tabled in National Assembly and immediately our people and allied partners stated distancing from us.
Imran recalled it was the time when Pakistan’s economy was showing its best performance in 17 years, adding that we came out of a very difficult time and the world praised them for fighting against Covid.
The former prime minister said that the financial advisor in America said that the way Pakistan fought Corona, if America had done it, US$ 10 billion could have been saved.
The ex-premier stated that the one whom the message was given started his work, as the agencies started their work, our people started receiving messages, ISI people became active, adding that I said to General Bajwa that your man from Lahore is saying that we have raised our hand, now the incoming government belongs to Shahbaz Sharif, Bajwa said I am relieving him now.
Imran Khan said that these dramas had been happening with them, as the whole plan was made from behind, adding that he was so ashamed as a Pakistani that how dare this secretary threaten them and send a message through the ambassador to remove the prime minister.
The PTI Chairman said that it was not his fault, as a person whose responsibility was to protect the nation should be ashamed.
Imran Khan said that the people should understand one thing that when he criticized General Bajwa, it wasn’t meant to criticize the Pakistani army but a man who made a mistake.
The PTI leader said that they were doing a great injustice to their country, as General Faisal Naseer, whom he nominated in the FIR but could not file it despite the fact he informed the nation about his intention long ago but if could not file an FIR.
Imran Khan recalled that they sabotaged the JIT when the JIT probe flopped his religious extremist narrative, adding that then they charged him with treason that why he called General Faisal Naseer as Dirty Harry.
The PTI leader reminded that if criticism was removed from society, we dig the grave of society, adding that when our country disintegrated, if Hamudur Rahman were acted upon and reformed were made, then Pakistan could have been saved from big mistakes, but we do not have the courage to bear criticism.
“I sent that cipher to the Chief Justice, placed it in front of the National Security Council on March 30, in its declaration it was said that there had been an interference, and a demarche was also made,” he added.
Imran Khan recalled that an in-camera meeting was called in the Parliament but no one came from the opposition, Shahbaz Sharif, Asif Zardari boycotted it because they were part of this conspiracy, adding that did any country allow such a thing, did anyone in Iran, or in India had the courage to ask the ambassador to remove their prime minister.
“The world respects the people who respect themselves,” he added. He said that had continuous meetings and hold meeting with the American diplomatic officials for three months.
Imran Khan said that Arshad Sharif did the whole program on it, did Raja Riaz go there to discuss foreign policy, adding that my own people were telling me that you should not raise the issue of cipher in public, as it would angry the Americans.
The PTI Chairman said that he told the nation which stood together, adding that he did not do this for any political mileage but for the sake of the country because he did not want to be enslaved.
The PTI Chairman said that the US took decisions for its own interest, adding that it did not make friendships but protected its own interests.
The former prime minister revealed that it was written in the cipher that Imran Khan himself went to Russia.
However, he said that a consultation was held in the Foreign Office, all the former foreign secretaries of Pakistan were called and they all said that it is very important to go to Russia.
“We needed to improve relations with Russia, because we wanted two million tons of wheat from them at a discounted price,” he added.
Imran Khan said that before leaving, he asked Bajwa whether he should go or not, adding that Bajwa said that they think that he should visit Rusia; hence it was not his decision.
However, he said that on his return, Bajwa said to condemn Russia but Foreign Office and all others said that India was not condemning when it was their strategic ally, so why should we? “We had signed an agreement for cheap oil and wheat,” he added.
Imran Khan said that afterward, Bajwa gave a statement against the policy of the government in the National Security Council seminar and strongly condemned Russia.
“Where we stand today we must have to decide first whether we have to live like beggars and ants and a nation that has no future” he added.
Imran Khan said that they were little bothered about the country, as there was only one agenda to disqualify Imran Khan and put him in jail.
The PTI Chairman demanded that there should be the biggest inquiry on the cipher which the FIA can’t do so that we don’t make these mistakes in the future. There should be an inquiry as to who was involved in this conspiracy, he added.
“If we had not supported the IMF agreement and helped them, Pakistan would have defaulted,” he said, adding that inquiry should be that which player played what role FIA, in which Shahbaz Sharif has placed his servants, cannot conduct an inquiry.
Imran said that they failed in whatever they tried; as it was a case in Toshakhana that Imran Khan asked the price assessors to show a lower price and now they are looking for them as a witness.
Similarly, he said that Al-Qadir University, which was built to teach the Surah of the Prophet ﷺ, was built to build the character of students, in which students from poor families are being given free education. Now they are saying that Imran Khan has committed a great injustice by building a university as if I am getting any income from it.
Imran Khan said that the SC in its judgment declared his abduction from court premises on May 9, as unconstitutional, adding that when he was in jail, 30 cases were filed against him.
The PTI Chairman recalled that 25 people were martyred, of which the details of 16 are available, adding that the case of Zeeli Shah’s murder was also made against Imran Khan.
Similarly, Imran Khan said that a lawyer was killed in Quetta due to personal enmity and an FIR of 302 is filed against Imran Khan.
