KARACHI, Pakistan: The Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Wednesday appealed to the Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal to take notice of corruption in Sindh.

While addressing a Press Conference in Karachi, the PTI Chief also asked the Chairman NAB to investigate the properties worth $8 billion bought by Pakistanis in Dubai.

The PTI Chief said that the Sindh leadership is absolutely corrupt, adding that the Sindh leadership is not taking interest in the province. He said that Sindh has suffered the most from corruption.

Imran Khan once again lambasted the former President and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari and his Sister Faryal Talpur, saying that they are also involved in massive corruption and money laundering.

The Chairman PTI said that funds proposed for the development of Sindh are looted and sent to abroad through money laundering.

Imran said that he will visit the Karachi University soon to prepare students to bring changes. He also announced to hold a public gathering in Obaro (Sindh) on November 5.

In reply to a question, Imran Khan said that problems of people cannot be resolved until local bodies system is improved. He also advocated the empowerment of local bodies system, and said that more power should be devolved to local representatives like the PTI did in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

However, he admitted that there are still a few deficiencies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s local bodies system, and announced that in next polls, the District Nazims and Mayors will be directly elected.

Imran Khan further said that there should not be political interference in institutions.

“We managed to stop political influence on institutions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” Imran Khan said.

The PTI Chief said that privatization is not the solution of problems being faced by institutions.

In reply to another question regarding the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) verdict in favour of Ayesha Gulalai, Imran Khan said that it was the violation of the Constitution that a member herself announced to resign a party and also breached the party’s discipline, but yet she was adamant to remain the lawmaker in the House on that very party’s platform.
