ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader Senator Aitzaz Ahsan has that the Supreme Court’s judgement in Hudaibya Paper Mills Case is a big sigh of relief for Sharif family, adding that the verdict is beyond understanding.

Last Friday, the Supreme Court of Pakistan dismissed a National Accountability Court’s (NAB) plea for re-opening of three years old Hudaibya Paper Mills Case, terming it time barred.

Talking to media persons in Islamabad on Monday, Aitzaz Ahsan said that no one is spared in Criminal Cases as according to the Constitution, investigation into a Criminal Cases can’t be halted. He said that only Civil Cases are time barred.

The PPP leader said that the Supreme Court of Pakistan has been very lenient with regards to Sharif family’s Cases.

Talking about the disqualification of former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Jahangir Khan Tareen, Aitzaz Ahsan said that Jahangir Tareen gave his money trail but Nawaz Sharif didn’t submit even a single piece of paper.

Senator Aitzaz Ahsan said that Calibery font and Qatari letters were also false while money was kept in the foreign secret banks on the basis of Iqama.

The PPP senior leader said that assemblies are not dissolved in Sharif tenure even if the corruption is proved, whereas to dissolve Benazir Bhutto’s government only the allegation of corruption was enough.
