KARACHI, Pakistan: The Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) Sindh government has grumbled about not being responded by the Centre.

Talking to media in Karachi on Tuesday, the Sindh Minister for Local Bodies Saeed Ghani said that the federal government is not responding to letters by the Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

Saeed Ghani said that the Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) has been included in China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects; however, the federation is not taking interest in this project.

It is pertinent to mention that criticism by the Sindh government against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led federal government comes when the two governments have locked horns with each other.

The tension was intensified when the federal government included names of 172 persons including of Murad Ali Shah and PPP top leadership in the Exit Control List (ECL) in the light of JIT’s findings after an inquiry into fake accounts.

Separately, replying a question during the Question Hour in the Sindh Assembly in Karachi on Tuesday, the Sindh Minister for Local Bodies Saeed Ghani said that work on S-III Sewerage project in Karachi is underway.

The provincial said that the government has requested the federal government to increase its share in the project as it is a joint venture of the provincial and the federal government.

Saeed Ghani said the provincial government has spent an amount of Rs six billion for the project.
