PoliticsExcept Allah, Imran Khan no one else can order me: Pervez Khattak

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak on Monday said only Allah and the Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan was above him, and no one else could order him.

Talking to media representatives outside an Anti-Terrorism Court in Islamabad where he went today for hearing of a Case related to attacks on PTV and Parliament Buildings in 2014, Pervez Khattak said those who had sold their votes in Senate Elections were now taking oaths on the Holy Quran.

“I feel sorrowful for some members who sold their votes,” he said.

Pervaiz Khattak said if other parties had the courage they should have also taken the action against their dissident members.

His remarks came in reference to the revelation of names of PTI lawmakers by Imran Khan, who according to him, sold their votes in non-compliance of party’s discipline and principles.

The PTI also sent show cause notices of its 20 sold out lawmakers in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly with a warning of their permanent expulsion from the party; however, the lawmakers denied that they were involved in such practices and rather accused Pervez Khattak of defaming their credibility.
