LAHORE, Pakistan: The ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Presidential Candidate Dr Arif Alvi on Saturday said if elected as the Country’s 13th President on September 4, he would act as the President of the entire Country and not only of his party.

Talking to media representatives in Lahore, Dr Alvi said as a president he would work for the State’s solidarity which remaining in the Constitutional jurisdiction.

Dr Arif Alvi said Prime Minister Imran Khan would fulfill all the promises with the people of Pakistan.

Chaudhry Sarwar said they were driving a strong campaign for their Candidate Dr Arif Alvi.

The Presidential Election will be held by secret balloting on Tuesday (September 4). In this regard, the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Justice (retd) Sardar Muhammad Raza has asked Presiding Officers to ensure secrecy of ballot.

Members of Senate, National and all provincial assemblies will not be allowed to carry out mobile phones or any other electronic device in the premises of the polling station.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan will spend a busy day in Lahore today wherein he will address a special session of the Punjab Cabinet.

The prime mister will hold one on one meeting with the Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar before the Cabinet session. The Provincial Ministers will brief the prime minister about their departments.

Imran Khan will also meet with the senior leadership of PTI regarding upcoming by-elections. The Candidates for by-elections in Punjab will be finalized today.

On the sidelines of Bahrain International Airshow, Commander of Ninth Air Force (US Air Forces Central Command — AFCENT), Lieutenant General Derek France called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
