Islamabad, Pakistan: Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri ruled the Motion was against the Constitution.
He gave a ruling on the demand of Federal Minister Fawad Ch who said that the No-Confidence Motion was foreign-funded and foreign-sponsored so it was against the Constitution under Article 5 of the Constitution. The Deputy Speaker accepted this stance and refused to accept the Motion and prorogued the session for an indefinite period.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has lost the majority in the House (National Assembly) but vote counting was delayed by Speaker now the entire process of No Confidence has been rejected by the Deputy Speaker.
Opposition was present in the House with 176 members while it wanted only 172 to vote Imran Khan out of the seat of Prime Minister.
Just after this move, Imran Khan addressed the nation on television and said that Vote Confidence was rejected because it was foreign agenda. He congratulated the nation on this. He said that he sent advice to President Arif Alvi to dissolve the National Assembly.
