ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: A District and Session Court in Islamabad has rejected a petition filed to suspend the non-bailable arrest warrants issued against the Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan in Toshakhana Case.
While announcing the decision on Monday, the Additional Session Judge Zafar Iqbal asked Imran Khan to appear before the Court on Tuesday.
Earlier in the day, the judge reserved the judgment on the petition seeking the cancellation of Imran Khan’s non-bailable arrest warrants.
Qaiser Imam, Barrister Gohar and Ali Bukhari appeared on behalf of Imran Khan, and requested the Court to cancel the arrest warrants of their Client.
Meanwhile, PTI has announced to approach the Islamabad High Court (IHC), saying that the Session Court’s decision wasn’t right on legal grounds.
