ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said all the civilized countries in the world were developed in democracy rather than in dictatorship.

Talking to media in Islamabad, Nawaz Sharif said the Supreme Court’s judgement was against the facts, adding people did not accept Court’s decisions.

The former prime minister said the people of Pakistan and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers stood with him.

Earlier, Nawaz Sharif held a meeting with party leaders and workers at Punjab House in Islamabad and discussed the present political situation in the country.

Party sources said the PML-N president exchanged views with the party leaders including the former Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan about the legislation in the Parliament and the sit-in in Islamabad that ended on Monday evening.

Nawaz Sharif along with her daughter Maryam Nawaz arrived from Lahore to Islamabad in the morning for hearing of NAB references in the Accountability Court.

However, the hearing was adjourned till Monday next due to non-availability of the Counsel of Sharif family Khawaja Haris.
