PoliticsBizenjo, Achakzai step in to support Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The political allies of ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Friday reaffirmed their support for the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, reminding the judiciary of its due role enshrined in the Constitution.

“I came here to express solidarity with Nawaz Sharif,” the National Party (NP) President and the Minister for Maritime Affairs Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo said in a statement in Islamabad.

Hasil Bizenjo said Nawaz Sharif wanted the sovereignty of small provinces in the Country. He said they all had struggled a lot for the supremacy of law and rights of provinces.

The NP president said Nawaz Sharif was appearing before the Court every day and judiciary must acknowledge it.

“We don’t want the standard of Judiciary to be questioned later on,” he said.

Separately in a statement, the Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) Chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai said judges and the parliamentarians took oath on the Constitution and law, and if someone talked about the Constitution and law he must do so as he had taken oath.

Mahmood Khan Achakzai said action must be taken against the institution that went beyond its Constitutional ambit.

The PkMAP Chief said yesterday the Chief Justice’s words were very precious and important. He said the one who didn’t come out on roads to protect the Constitution was not a Pakistani.
