LONDON: The convicted former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will arrive to Pakistan from London on July 13 (Friday), said her daughter Maryum Nawaz Sharif. He was sentenced to jail for 10 years in Avenfield Verdict.

Sources believe that Nawaz and his daughter would be arrested on their arrival at airport by NAB authorities.

While talking to journalists outside hospital where her mother is fighting cancer and is on artificial ventilation system, Maryum Nawaz Sharif said that she along with his father former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would arrive to Pakistan on Friday July 13, 2018 to submit their appeal in court against their convictions.

It is pertinent to mention that General Elections are going to be held in Pakistan on July 25, 2018 but former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter are now not qualified to contest election due to their conviction.

Earlier Nawaz Sharif held a press conference in London on Friday said that he felt honor for he was not convicted on corruption charges and was of the view that few judges and generals couldn’t hold the Country hostage and he (Nawaz Sharif) would continue his struggle even from the prison.

Nawaz Sharif said that it was easier to sabotage the Constitution and laws in Pakistan but he would continue his struggle to ensure supremacy of Constitution and respect for vote in Pakistan.

It is pertinent to mention that Nawaz was sentenced 10-year imprisonment in Avenfield Reference Case, pertaining to Sharif family’s four flats in Park Lane, London. The Court also awarded seven-year imprisonment to Maryam Nawaz and one-year imprisonment to her husband Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar.

The much-awaited 174-page Avenfield Reference verdict was announced by the judge Muhammad Bashir at the Judicial Complex in Islamabad on Friday July 6, 2018.
