ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The former President of Pakistan and the Co-Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari has tested positive for COVID-19.
In a Twitter statement on Thursday, the Foreign Minister and Chairman PPP said that Asif Ali Zardari is fully vaccinated, boosted, isolating with mild symptoms and undergoing treatment.
“We are praying for his swift recovery,” Bilawal wrote.

Earlier on July 16, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz had also tested positive for Coronavirus.
In the last 24 hours, 8 more people succumbed to Coronavirus and 761 new Cases were recorded across the Country, according to the National Institute of Health (NIH) Islamabad.
The NIH said that 20,843 COVID tests were conducted in the last 24 hours and the positivity ratio remained 3.65 percent.
