AJK PM Sardar Tanveer Ilyas disqualified in Contempt of Court CaseMUZAFFARABAD, Pakistan: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas has been disqualified by the Muzaffarabad High Court in a Contempt of Court Case.

Sardar Tanveer Ilyas had been assuming the Office of the AJK Prime Minister since April 18, 2022.

For his recent anti-judiciary statement in a public gathering, he was summoned before the Full Court of Muzaffarabad High Court on Tuesday wherein he sought apology over his remarks.

However, the Full Court led by Justice Sadaqat Hussain Raja did not accept his apology and removed him from the Office, suspending his assembly’s membership.

Tanveer Ilyas was sentenced by the Bench till the dismissal of the Court’s proceedings.

It’s worth noting that the disqualified AJK prime minister had criticized the issuance of stay orders by the Courts, saying that they were adversely affecting the performance of the government.
