ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: As many as 39 Bills including 25 government and 14 Private had been presented in Senate during current Parliamentary year.

According to official sources, Senate had also adopted 31 resolutions during the current parliamentary year. Chairman Raza Rabbani has issued 35 rulings including three about presence of ministers. An important ruling was about the resignations of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Senators.

25 Government Bills received from the National Assembly included The National University of Science and Technology (Amendment) Bill, 2016;  The Officence in Respect of Banks (Special Courts) Amendment Bill, 2016; The Pakistan International Airlines Corporation (Conversion) Bill, 2016; The Banks (Nationalization) (Amendment) Bill, 2016; The Equity Participation Fund (Repeal) Bill, 2016;The Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (Amendment) Bill 2016;The Criminal Law (Amendment) Bill, 2015.

The Patents (Amendment) Bill, 2015; The Publication of Laws of Pakistan Bill, 2015; The Pakistan Halal Authority Bill, 2015; The Pakistan Health Research Council Bill,2015; The Minimum Wages for Unskilled Workers (Amendment) Bill,2015; The State Bank of Pakistan (Amendment) Bill, 2015; The Electoral Rolls (Amendment) Bill, 2015; The Delimitation of Constituencies (Amendment) Bill, 2015; The Islamabad Subordinate Judiciary Service Tribunal Bill 2015.

The Civil Servants (Amendment) Bill, 2015; The University of Medical Sciences Bill, 2015;The Capital University of Science and Technology Bill, 2015; The Federal Employees Benevolent Fund and Group Insurance (Second Amendment) Bill, 2015;The Islamabad Capital Territory Local Government Bill, 2015;The Federal Employees Benevolent Fund and

Group Insurance (First Amendment) Bill, 2015; The Legal Practitioners Bar Councils (Amendment) Bill, 2015; The Credit Bureau Bill, 2015 and The Seed (Amendment) Bill 2015;

Private Members’ Bills introduced in the Senate during current parliamentary year included Witness Protection, Security and Benefit Bill, 2016; The Law Reforms (Amendment) Bill, 2016; The Land Acquisition (Amendment) Bill, 2016; The Code of Civil Procedure (Amendment) Bill, 2016;  The Supreme Court (Number of Judges) (Amendment) Bill, 2016.

The Anti-Terrorism (Amendment) Bill, 2016;The Arbitration and Conciliation Bill, 2015; The Constitution (Amendment) Act, 2016;   The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Amendment) Bill, 2015;  The National University of Medical Sciences (Amendment) Bill, 2015; The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2015; The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2015;The Islamabad Mandatory Vaccination and Protection of Health Workers Bill, 2015 and The Constitution (Amendment) Act, 2015;
