ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has de-seated 25 dissident lawmakers of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the Punjab Assembly.

The ECP made the unanimous decision of de-seating the PTI dissents on Friday while approving the reference sent by the Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi after the lawmakers had, in defiance to the party’s directives, voted for Hamza Shahbaz of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in Punjab Chief Minister’s Election on April 16.

The following are PTI MPAs who have been de-seated;

  2. Malik Ghulam Rasool Sangha
  3. Saeed Akbar Khan
  4. Muhammad Ajmal
  5. Aleem Khan
  6. Nazeer Chohan
  7. Mohammad Ameen Zulqarnain
  8. Noman Langrial
  9. Mohammad Salman
  10. Zawar Warraich
  11. Nazeer Ahmed Khan
  12. Fida Hussain
  13. Zahra Batool
  14. Mohammad Tahir
  15. Ayesha Nawaz
  16. Sajida Yousuf
  17. Haroon Imran Gill
  18. Uzma Kardar
  19. Malik Asad Ali
  20. Ijaz Masih
  21. Sibtain Raza
  22. Mohsin Ata Khan Khosa
  23. Mian Khalid Mehmood
  24. Mehr Mohammad Aslam
  25. Faisal Hayat

Five of the above-mentioned PTI defectors hail from Aleem Khan’s group, 16 from Jahangir Tareen’s group while four are affiliated with Asad Khokhar’s group.
