KARACHI: Police conducted raid on Uzair Baloch’s house located at Sangu Lane in Lyari Town on Saturday morning but failed to arrest him.

It may be recalled that Sindh High Court (SHC) had ordered for the arrest of Uzair Baloch after which police raided his residence in compliance with the court orders.

The police arrested ten suspected people from the area.

On the other hand, the residents of the area satged a protest against the police action saying that innocent people were arrested. The protesters threatened to block the Mauripur Road if the arrested people were not released.

MPA Sania Baloch condemned the raid and said that she would raise the issue in the assembly.

Tension prevailed in Lyari after the raid on the house of Uzair Baloch, head of outlawed People’s Amn Committee.
