ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) will hold colorful cultural programmes to celebrate forthcoming Pakistan Day in Islamabad from March 23 to 25.

The programmes have been arranged by the Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage to celebrate the Day in befitting manner.

The celebrations will start with a cultural show that will be presented by Chinese cultural Troupe to celebrate Pakistan Day and commemorate the 65th Anniversary of Pak-China Diplomatic Relations.

The event is being organized by PNCA, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Embassy of China featuring the performance of Beijing Shanshui Orchestra at PNCA Auditorium.

On same day, a grand music night will mesmerize the audience featuring Saira Nasim, Fazal Jaat, Nadeem Abbas Loonay Wala and folk dances by the National Performing Arts Group in vibrant costumes and props connected to the Pakistan Day.

On March 24, a puppet show by National Puppet Theater will be presented in which puppets in vibrant costumes will perform on the story of Pakistan Movement. While the puppet show will also highlight issues of health, education and environment to create awareness among the young minds to deal with the issue.

The popular play of Khawaja Moeenuddin “Taleem e Balighaan” will be presented on same day in which popular artistes Qavi Khan, Qazi Wajid, Batin Farooqui, Tahir Siddiqui, Imtiaz Ali Kashif and others will perform on the story based on unity among the young generation.

Besides all these events, a three-day artisans at work festival will also attract the art and craft lovers from March 23 to 25 carrying a large collection of Pakistani crafts and artisans practicing the crafts for the people to keep alive the identity of dying crafts.

The programs will focus on serving the fun lovers as informative entertainment through visual narration of historical moments of Pakistan Movement and the struggle of freedom fighters.

Besides depicting the culture and traditions of the country, such shows also educate the youth regarding the struggle of freedom fighters through soft expressions of art, said an official of PNCA.

Cultural shows comprising folk and regional dances will portray the traditions of all the provinces and capture the glimpses of rich cultural heritage of the country.
