ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has rewarded the Baloch excavator driver Mohibullah with Rs 2.5 million on behalf of the government of Pakistan in recognition of his bravery. 

Mohibullah, an excavator driver in Balochistan’s Qila Abdullah district, rescued a family of five members stranded in flash flood in Urambi area of Toba Achakzai last month, risking his own safety.

Mohibullah was invited at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad on Wednesday wherein he met Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.PM Shahbaz awards Rs 2.5 million to Baloch excavator driver Mohibullah for his bravery

Talking to him, the prime minister lauded the spirit of Mohibullah for saving the lives of people with words “you are the hero of the nation for saving precious human lives by showing courage.

Besides rewarding him with Rs 2.5 million, the prime minister also announced provision of free education to Mohibullah’s children up to university level as well as free health facilities for his family members.

The prime minister said that the entire nation including me is proud of you and I deeply admire your love for humanity.

In his remarks, Mohibullah expressed gratitude to the prime minister and the government for appreciating his step and sparing valuable time for him.

Mohibullah said that it is a matter of honor for meeting the prime minister of the Country and he is deeply grateful for being honored by the prime minister on his arrival at the Prime Minister’s House.
