ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has ordered sacking of Chief Executive Trade Development Authority of Pakistan Abid Javed Akbar Ali and referred the case involving the misappropriation of Rs 1.27 billion to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

The Prime Minister has referred the case to FIA to initiate criminal proceedings against officials involved in the misappropriation and loss to national exchequer.

The Premier asked for initiating disciplinary proceedings against all officers responsible‚ including former Secretary of TDAP Abdul Kabir Qazi and Director General Facilitation Abdul Karim Daud Pota.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has also ordered to carry out a special audit of the last two-year accounts of TDAP.
