ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday dissolved the governing body of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and also sacked Chairman Chaudhry Zaka Ashraf.

The prime minister, who is also patron-in-chief of the PCB, constituted an eleven member committee which includes Shehriyar Khan, Najam Sethi, Zahir Abbas, Navid Akram, Shakil Shaikh, Iqbal Qasim, Yousuf Khokhar, Amir Tariq Zaman to manage the affairs of the cricket board on an ad-hoc basis.

Zaka Ashraf was restored last month by a divisional bench of the Islamabad High Court after he was suspended last year on grounds of not holding transparent elections for PCB chairman.
