BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan: Prime Minister Imran Khan held an extremely cordial meeting with the Chinese President Xi Jinping in Bishkek on Friday on the sidelines of the ongoing 19th Meeting of the Council of the Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the entire gamut of bilateral relations including China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). They also discussed the regional situation.

Both sides agreed to enhance coordination to build Pakistan China Community of Shared Destiny in the New Era.

The Iron brothers China and Pakistan reaffirmed their “All Weather strategic cooperative partnership”.

The 19th Meeting of SCO’s Council of the Heads of State is being held in the Kyrgyz Capital Bishkek, in which Prime Minister Imran Khan is representing Pakistan in the moot.

Other leaders of the SCO member and observer states as well as representatives of important international organizations are also attending the meeting.

Earlier on Thursday when the prime minister arrived in Bishkek, he also met the Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Sharipovich Jeenbekov, and reviewed bilateral relations and agreed to comprehensively upgrade mutual cooperation in diverse fields.

The two sides agreed to strengthen land and air connectivity between the two Countries.

Separately, Imran Khan also held an informal discussion with the Russian President Vladimir Putin in Bishkek.
