ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE) is organizing the 33rd annual general meeting and Conference of the Pakistan Society of Development Economists (PSDE) on December 12 (Tuesday).

The theme of this year’s Conference is “Redefining Prosperity Paths in Changing Global Economy; Opportunities and Challenges for Pakistan”.

The PSDE’s Conference and annual general meeting is the largest annual academic gathering of economists, social scientists, and policymakers in Pakistan having participants from the Country and overseas.

The themes that would come under discussion during the three days including Industrial development; job creation, special economic zones and urban development quest for prosperity.

The Conference would also discuss indigenous experiences, new paradigms, sustainability and suitability innovation, productivity and economic growth and Impact of fourth industrial revolution; robotic economy and artificial intelligence economy.

The economists and policy makers would discuss agricultural reforms; modernization and agro-based industrial development for up lift of national economy and rural development by finding the ways and means to economically empowering the population of these areas.

This year’s Conference includes four lectures, four panel discussions and 50 technical papers.
