ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal government has reduced the prices of petroleum products, which will be effective from 12:00 am tonight.

The prices of petrol and diesel have been reduced by Rs 4.86 and Rs 4.26 per litre respectively.

   

Likewise, the kerosene oil price has been reduced by Rs 0.52 per litre and light diesel oil price has been reduced by Rs 2.16 per litre.

In this regard, a notification has been issued by the Ministry of Finance.

As per notification, after the reduction in prices of petroleum products, the new price of petrol will be Rs 90.97 per litre, diesel price will be Rs 106.68 per litre, light diesel oil price will be Rs 75.28 per litre and kerosene oil price will Rs 82.98 per litre.

It is pertinent to mention that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had recommended to the government Rs 9.50 per litre cut in the price of petrol, diesel Rs 15 per litre, light diesel oil Rs 2 per litre and kerosene oil by Rs 0.25 per litre for the month of January 2019.
