PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) Friday approved 23 projects with an estimated cost of Rs11846.088 million and deferred three others projects due to inadequate project designs.

The PDWP held its meeting under the Chairmanship of Dr. Hammad Uwais Agha, Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Secretary P&D Department Syed Zafar Ali Shah and respective administrative Secretaries attended the meeting.

The forum considered 26 projects pertaining to Irrigation, Home, Health, Elementary & Secondary Education, Higher Education, Sports and Tourism, Communication & Works, Public Health Engineering, Relief & Rehabilitation, Transport and ST&IT Departments for the uplift of the province.

The forum approved 23 projects with an estimated cost of Rs11846.088 million whereas three projects were deferred due to inadequate project designs.

Approved projects of Home sector included Construction of Police Station at KotkaiKhazana and Re-construction of Police Check Posts at Miskini and Kambat, Dir (Lower), F/S and Development of Police Infrastructure in KP Police Station at Kabalgram, Chauga, Olandar, Dandai District Shangla, Swari at District Buner, Gawaleri and Gat-Poechar at Swat, KuzParoKohistan.

Approved projects of Health sector included completion of Balance Works, Payment of Contractor’s Liabilities and Purchase of Equipment for Hepatitis Center (former Burn Centre), Nishtarabad, Peshawar, National Program for Family Planning & Primary Health Care (LHWs Program) KPK”.
