All of these actors have done brilliant work. Humaima Malick has returned to the TV screen after a very long time. Recently, she got praised for her character of Daro in The LEgends of Maula Jutt. In this upcoming project, she is seen as a powerful female character who stands up against violence against women in the e patriarchal tribal areas of Pakistan.

Gohar Rasheed and Nazar-ul-Hassan are emblems of the patriarchal males of our society who live to crush women under their toes. At the same time, Hajra Yamin and Samiya Mumtaz show the snubbed women of the patriarchal society.

Jindo Drama Story

The storyline of Jindo Drama is unique and empowers women because it is based on a true story. Humaima Malick is playing the role of Jindo who dares to stand against the patriarchal leader of their tribe. She seems to fear no one. Jindo is fierce enough to speak openly about her views. Daad Saeen is the e leader of that tribe who has no sympathy for anyone who goes against him. But Jindo dares to do this.

The ending of the trailer seems optimistic that Jindo might win in her struggle for women’s empowerment. Meanwhile, she struggles against patriarchy, there is a subplot including Hajra Yamin and Gohar Rasheed who is bound in a mainstream patriarchal marriage where the women are expected to be subordinate. Hajra Yamin does not seem to be happy as a wife to a violent male.

The whole drama is set in a rustic setting where the actors are dressed up, in the same way, to bring authenticity to the plot. The project seems quite interesting as it battles injustice in our society. Have a look at the trailer.
