QUETTA: A court in Balochistan Province on Thursday acquitted Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) President Shahzain Bugti along with his body guards in the illegal weapons case, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

JWP leader and other captives were released by the Session Judge Nooraiz Hooti due to lack of evidence.

Shahzain Bugti along with his guards was taken into custody on December 22, 2010 by security forces after arms and ammunition were seized from his convoy at the Buleli check post in Quetta.
