ISLAMABAD:  The United States will launch two programs this year for the promotion of science and technology in Pakistan, under these programs, researchers can apply for seed grants of up to $15,000 starting in summer 2013, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

The announcement was made by the US Ambassador to Pakistan Richard Olson while addressing the Pakistan-US Science and Technology Symposium in Islamabad on Thursday.

“International science and technology cooperation is essential.  We do not live in a bubble; we live in a globalized world faced with challenges that cross borders and require innovative solutions,” said Ambassador Olson.
