KHAIRPUR: A senior professor, Lutfullah Phalpoto, was shot dead by unknown gunmen at University Staff Colony in Khairpur on Saturday, police said.

According to reports, the deceased professor was head of Department of Commerce at Shah Abdul Latif University. The university was closed for an indefinite period after the shooting.
