MULTAN: Long time activist and veteran politician and chief of Pakistan Seraiki Party Taj Muhammad Langah died of cardiac arrest here in Multan. He was 72.

Langah has been active for the formation of the separate province for the Seraiki belt and he has been rallying for this demand for decades. His objectives were purely for the betterment of the people of his area.

On his death, senior journalist and leading national anchor Iftikhar Ahmad was of the view that death of Langa is a death of an ideology, activism and politics of decency. “I know him since late 60s and he was one of those politicians who believed in political philosophy of decencey and he was a great democrat and a very honest person, added iftikhar Ahmed when contacted by the Dispatch News Desk (DND) to comment.
