ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) on Friday ordered Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) to dispose of Shahzeb murder case within seven days and conduct its hearing on daily basis, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.
A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was hearing the case in Islamabad on Friday. The court issued these orders while disposing of suo moto case of Shahzeb murder.
The chief justice expressed dissatisfaction on the performance of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and rejected its report in Shahzeb case.
The court also sought written reply from DG FIA within 3 days and issued a short order in Shahzeb murder case.
In its short order, the court remarked that Shahrukh Jatoi, the key accused in Shahzeb murder case, misled FIA, customs, immigration and ASF officials, however, only two persons who helped Shahrukh escape were arrested.
