PakistanShahbaz Sharif nominated as CM Punjab

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Thursday formally announced the nomination of his younger brother, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, as chief minister of Punjab.

A parliamentary committee of the PML-N would finalise the nomination prior to the Punjab Assembly session which has been summoned for May 29.

It would be Shahbaz Sharif’s third term as chief minister of the province. The PML-N is leading in the provincial assembly with a two-third majority.
