Over Rs 49 billion allocated for Pak-China economic corridor

ISLAMABAD: An amount of over Rs 49 billion has been allocated by the federal government for the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor under the Public Sector Development Programme 2014-15, an official of the National Highway Authority (NHA) told media.

The official said that the corridor is the future of the country which will also link Pakistan with the Central Asian

The NHA official further said that under the economic corridor project, Rs 30 billion have been allocated for land acquisition, relocation of utilities and compensation for 859-kilometer-long Lahore-Karachi Motorway in the budget 2014-15.
