AsiaPunjab govt signs MOU with ADB for cooperation in energy sector

LAHORE: Punjab Government on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Asian Development Bank (ADB) for cooperation in energy sector, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif said ADB will cooperate to form a Fund for power generation projects which will help in solving the energy crisis. He said that ADB will not charge any fee for initial estimation of these projects.

The Punjab CM said a German Company is also working in Cholistan on a four hundred mega watt solar project. He said that cooperation with ADB will also be extended on infrastructure and other sectors.
