ISLAMABAD: An agreement has been reached between Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) on the name of former governor of the State Bank of Pakistan, Dr. Ishrat Hussain, for the post of caretaker Prime Minister.
In a telephonic conversation with Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain extended his party’s support for the nomination of Dr. Ishrat, sources said.
Apart from discussing matters relating to a caretaker set-up, both leaders also exchanged views about the forthcoming general elections, they added.
