NEW JERSEY, United States: Pakistan’s ambassador to the United States Jalil Abbas Jilani has emphasized the role of the Pakistani-American community in deepening and strengthening the bonds of friendship between Pakistan and the United States.
Delivering a keynote address at the Spring Retreat of the Dow Graduate Association of North America (DOGANA) at New Brunswick, New Jersey, the ambassador underlined the high priority the Government of Pakistan attached to the welfare of the Pakistani diaspora.
He also highlighted the Incentive Package under consideration by the Government for Overseas Pakistanis to attract private investment in Pakistan.
He urged Pakistanis physicians to come forward and play their role in the national development of the country. The Ambassador also briefed the meeting on the economic reform agenda of the Government and the Prime Minister’s policy of peaceful neighborhood.
Ambassador Jilani announced that the Embassy would be hosting the third Annual Convention of Pakistani American Community (CPAC-2016), which will be preceded by Regional Community Conventions in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Houston.
While appreciating the dynamic role of Ambassador Jilani, Chairman and President of DOGNA also acknowledged Embassy’s proactive engagement with the community and its extensive outreach, which had yielded a great deal of positivity in the United States.
